Last night, there was a great deal of unrest among gamers that have been anticipating The Last Guardian. This is due to IGN, reporting that the game has been officially cancelled from its development.
While this might sound rare for IGN, it appears that the gaming website has got it totally wrong. For starters, the popular gaming website mentioned “officially cancelled” but in the report, it states “sources claim”. This is definitely misleading as official means that a confirmation is made by the game developer, not some random source.
Earlier today, this was further clarified by Scott Rhode. The head of software and product development revealed on his Twitter that the claims made by IGN were ridiculous. Scott confirmed that The Last Guardian is still on track in its creation.
All in all, it was a short scare for the fans of this upcoming IP. With the clarification, fans can now be at peace as The Last Guardian will soon arrive on their gaming consoles.
