Soon after the PC version of the new Battlefield 1 was released, players have been reporting about a DirectX error that some of them are facing. Battlefield 1 developer, DICE still does not have a solution to the problem right now but there is a fix that might actually help some of you right now.
One of the major error that players has come across is the error that reads “DirectX Function “GetDeviceRemovedReason” failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. GPU: “Nvidia GeForce GTX 690”, Driver: 37306.”
Some people has said that the way to get around this error is to roll back the current driver to the previous version. Start by installing the Display Driver Uninstaller. Once it has been downloaded, extract it and open the exe file. Next, choose to launch in safe mode and let it reboot.
Now select Clean and Restart. This should remove the bad video drivers. Now download the good drivers here and install them.
Hopefully, DICE can come out with a real solution real soon.
