It is nice to have some sunlight shining through the sunroof but it is a whole other matter when the sun is shining directly onto the driver and passenger. Audi had to issue a recall to recall back their Audi A8 and Audi S8 after it was reported that the sunroof on the A8 and S8 might detach.
According to the report, a few reports were made about the sunroof of the Audi A8 and Audi S8. It is said that the roof could possibly detach when the car is in motion increasing the risk of a crash.
Audi announces that no injuries or crashes related to the sunroof have been reported. Affected models will include the 2007 -2009 Audi A8 and Audi S8. Those affected by the recall will be contacted by Audi.
Audi will be installing some additional adhesive between the frame and sunroof to make sure the sunroof stays in place.
