It is saddening to know that most smartphone users today are willing to splurge so much for a flagship device but in reality, they are still not owning the phone.
Independent developers would know what we meant by this. For those that are unaware, every smartphones purchased from a carrier are fitted with many limitations and this is to ensure that the telco is able to leech as much many as possible from the device sold.
To not become a victim of this, smartphone users will need to root their device to gain complete control of it. For the G4 on the AT&T, this may soon be possible after a developer managed to bypass AT&T’s security lock feature.
Now, all that is left is for a root to be developed. The rooting of the LG G4 on AT&T is expected to be ready within the coming weeks. Once the G4 is rooted, users can take ownership of the device and get rid of all the nonsense that AT&T has installed on it.
The developer has developed a video of the security breakthrough and you can check it out below. Once the G4 is rooted, users will no longer have to be a slave to the carrier.
