Just yesterday, Intel announced that they have successfully manufactured their very own 14nm nanochips and it is called Skylake. The new tech-processor will be replacing the 20nm Broadwell chips and is expected to be available somewhere in late June or early July this year.
The news has got the Apple community hoping for Skylake to integrate itself with the next-gen MacBook Pro. The latter is expected to step into production in summer this year and if the timing is right, the laptop might get equipped with the new-generation 14nm processor.
If this is to happen, then the MacBook Pro will without a doubt be the most powerful laptop ever when released. The smaller architecture of the Skylake will enable faster processing speed while also being more energy efficient at the same time.
Of course, Apple has yet to make any comments on this but it doesn’t stop the Apple fanboys from being hopeful.
