An analyst reveals that the device will be widely available only in spring. This is due to the iPad’s screen makers, LG Display and Sharp who are facing a lot of difficulties in reaching the production targets.
It is further revealed that LGD is not even close to reaching its production target even though the company is one of the best in the world at what it does. The supply for the iPad Mini 2 will definitely be very limited and consumers are in for a long queue.
It is suggested to Apple that the release for the iPad Mini 2 is best pushed to the first quarter of 2014. That way, it will relief the stress on the production of the product as well as preventing a lot of unhappy customers.
The retina display on the iPad Mini 2 is known to provide a clearer, sharper picture and will run on the new 64 bit processor similar to the iPad Air. It will also have a price tag of $319 in the UK.
