Android M is the latest OS from Google for Android devices despite the fact that many handsets have yet to be updated to Android 5 Lollipop. So what is coming with the arrival of the latest OS. Check out the tricks and tips.
We have heard that the lock screen text is going to be bolder and bigger to make it easier to read. With Android M comes a bit of a refresh to the lock screen and while the change is only a small one, heavier text will be easier to read by simply glancing at it.
The notification panel offered with Android Lollipop could have been a whole lot better. With Android M we are expecting it to be improved. Instead of the notifications showing a instance of the notifications it will open up the quick setting panel. The notifications will then slide down below the quick settings.
Google have come to the conclusion that people don’t use their phones just for calls anymore and the shortcut for the dialer which was on the lock screen now gives way to the Google Now voice search. All you need to do is swipe from the left lower corner and you can start a voice search.
The app draw is getting a new look in Android M and this is now going to be a scrollable pane and not pages. Apps will be grouped together by name and this should make it easier to find what you want.
It is going to be easier to find apps as there is the app drawer for apps that you use so you don’t have to scroll through an entire list. You can also uninstall and app on Android M easier than before as you just drag it onto the home screen and to uninstall.
Android M is also going to bring with it a dark mode, a system UI Tuner, put Google settings and settings together, have a battery saver mode per app and you can turn off the heads up notification.
