Android 5.0 Lollipop: The Biggest Differences

The Android 5.0 Lollipop is the next big thing to come from Google and it will be replacing the KitKat very soon from now. Today, the world has a better idea of what the Lollipop has got to offer following its demonstration on Google I/O conference.

For starters, the OS will be featuring a new design to its notification bar. On the Lollipop, everything is about breaking free from being linear. As such, the icons are more rounded and fluid.

Speaking of which, the app icons too will enjoy a new look. Instead of being complicated and thoroughly detailed, the new icons are built with simplicity and are a perfect example of visual communication at its best.

Following that is the Google Keyboard. There are no longer the lines that separate every key in the keyboard. Of course, there is no telling on what sort of effect it will have on the users.

In the Android Documents App, the UI has been tweak yet again. Previously, it was optimized to modify or open up a document with ease. With the Lollipop, users are encouraged to start on a new document with it.

Finally is the control buttons on the Lollipop. It has got a whole new look. The circle symbol means home, the square is the new back button and the triangle is the option button. It somehow resembles the Playstation controller.

Of course, these are 5 of the many changes coming in the Android 5.0 Lollypop. Fans can expect a total design overhaul coming in this OS.
