Android 4.4.3 KitKat Update US Release: Note, S3 & More…

Android KitKat debuted last year and Samsung got busy with the roll-outs, but there are still some mobiles waiting.

The Galaxy S3 updates started last month in the US, with networks like Virgin Mobile, Boost and Sprint doing them. AT&T and Verizon are still lagging behind, despite Canada and Australia hopping on the KitKat bandwagon.

The Galaxy S4 has had speedy updates, with most of the US carriers starting off already.

AT&T was one of the first networks to get busy, but then it had to suspend the roll-outs to work on some feature or other, before resuming on June 6. Vodafone will be updating throughout June, and Optus will start in July. We don’t know when carriers like C Spire, MetroPCS and Telstra will be starting the Galaxy S4 updates.

The Note 3 KK update has come out in the US and Canada, and Chile, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Taiwan have started the update for the SM-N900. The SM-7005 in Hong Kong and Singapore is getting the upgrade now, but users in Oz will have to wait until late June or July.

The Note 2 has been slow to update, with only Sprint off the starting blocks so far. Vodafone Australia and France’s SFR should start this month, with Australia’s Optus starting in July. Spain’s Vodafone and Canada’s Rogers will do the update, but there’s no time frame as yet.
