The latest Android 4.4.3 KitKat is meant to be nothing big. The OS was developed with the sole purpose of taking out the bug which has been causing the battery to drain out rapidly. However, the 4.4.3 KitKat was built with two new features and little is known about them.
There is the new dialler and the People app. The former is basically a new look to the Android’s dialling screen. The colours have been changed to Blue and White.
As for the People app, it is also a new look that is heavily influenced by Gmail. Like how it is on the email service, users without an image will get a coloured square with the first letter of the name being maximized inside the box. This is much better compared to the dull grey which represents emptiness.
This is some nice tweaks although there is not much to talk about. Nevertheless, the KitKat is now a stable and closed chapter. Come Google I/O conference happening at the end of this month, the Android brand will certainly look into the future.
