The Galaxy S6 Active is the next major smartphone to come from Samsung and it is now being featured on Best Buy. The major retailer here in the US had just added the S6 Active on its list of items but since the device is not out yet, it is tagged as coming soon.
Obviously, the Galaxy S6 Active ad at Best Buy’s website is nothing more than a placeholder. However, the ad did manage to make an interesting reveal and it is that the S6 Active is going to come out with microSD support.
This totally contradicts to the S6 Active that was recently unveiled by Samsung. The smartphone was officially revealed to be nothing more than a rugged, waterproof and dustproof version of the S6. Samsung didn’t share that the S6 Active is going to have microSD support.
The Best Buy ad also cited that the S6 Active that is coming to them will be the AT&T-exclusive model. This suggests that Samsung has developed a more sophisticated S6 Active just for the carrier.
Unfortunately, there is no way to be certain just yet so it is best to take the above with a pinch of salt. If AT&T does get a different kind of S6 Active, it will only upset those that have bought the original S6 as the device does not come with a microSD slot.
