After the long wait, we will finally be seeing what the new 2018 Volvo XC40 will look like this year but we won’t be seeing it in Geneva this year.
Instead of Geneva, it looks like Volvo has chosen to show off the 2018 Volvo XC40 at the Shanghai Auto Show happening in April. While Volvo is huge in Europe, the fact that the Volvo is now owned by a Geely, a Chinese automaker and the new platform that the Volvo XC40 will be riding on is also from a Lynk & Co, a Chinese sub-brand.
According to the report, the new Volvo XC40 will come with three engine option, a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that will be offering 180hp, a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid that will be offering 254hp and a 2.0-liter turbo four engine that will be offering about 240hp.
The new Volvo XC40 will be coming in to sit below the Volvo XC60 and the Volvo XC90 model.
