2018 Volvo XC40 Dons Prodcution Suit

Volvo showed off the XC40 concept car last year and we were all pretty impressed by what Volvo had to offer. At that time, everybody was hoping that the Volvo XC40 production model will not stray too far from the concept. Based on these new spy images, it looks like our wish might come true after all.

The Volvo XC40 was spotted getting tested out on the cold and although the vehicle was heavily covered, the angular edges and line, the familiar face and the T-shaped head lights can all be made out.

The new Volvo XC40 will be riding on the new CMA platform. It should also bee powered by the new 1.5 liters three cylinder engine. There might even be a plug-in hybrid option but we will have e to wait and see.

The 2018 Volvo XC40 will be making its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show happening in April instead of the Geneva Auto Show.
