We know that Toyota is working with BMW to build the next Toyota Supra but Mazda has never indicated that they are planning to or are working on a new Mazda RX-9. Will we ever see the day when this two model faces each other once more?
While we have not heard from Mazda yet, there are already a few reports about Mazda looking to release a new Mazda RX-9 by 2019. It is said that the vehicle will be powered by a 1.6 liter SkyActive-R Wankel engine that will be pushing out about 400hp. Some people also believe that we might even see the prototype at the Tokyo Auto Show next year.
If this is true, it will be interesting to see of people would go for the new Toyota Supra or wait for the Mazda RX-9 to arrive.
The upcoming Toyota Supra will be coming in with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that will be offering about 400hp.
