It does feel like every automaker wants to have a hot hatch of their own right now except for Subaru. Subaru never indicated that they are working to turn the Subaru WRX STi into a hatchback model but their fans think that they should.
We know that the Subaru WRX STi sales have been dropping. While we do not think that it is because of the lack of a hatchback version, the fans think that the hatchback version will help bring the numbers back up because people seems to be more interested in getting a hot hatch than a performance sedan right now.
If Subaru does decide to come out with a Subaru WRX STi hatch, the vehicle will be coming in to compete with models like the Volkswagen Golf R and the Ford Focus RS.
Do you think Subaru should just give in and start working on a hatchback model or do you think it will just be a waste of time?
