We know that Mazda has made it clear that their Mazda 6 will not come with the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Since they have already made their decision, there is nothing we can do now but Android users will still get to use their Android Auto thanks to Google.
Thanks to Google, Android users will no longer have to wait for automakers to offer them the support to enjoy it. Android users can now download the Android Auto app from Google Store and run it on their smartphone itself.
To run the Android Auto app, you will need to own a smartphone that is running on the Android 5.0 OS and above.
Bear in mind that OK Google is not supported by the app right now so you need to manually tap on the microphone to use the voice command but other than that, the device works just like the car version.
