We are still waiting for Jeep to show us the all new 2018 Jeep Wrangler but before that happens, let’s check out some of the designs that did not make it.
Seen above is the clay model of the Jeep Wrangler design that did not make the cut. While it might not be the final production version, we know that some of the design features on the clay model will make its way to the production model.
The three price removable hardtop feature on the clay model reminded us of the Jeep Renegade model which also comes with the same feature. The vehicle was also fitted with a set of circular headlights as well as a seven-slot grille. The windshields has also been leaned back to help with the aerodynamics of the Wrangler. Based on some of the spy shots we have seen, we know that the windshield of the production model will also be similar to what the concept has.
Jeep is also hoping that the use of aluminum will help reduce the weight of the Wrangler so that it can perform better.
