We have already seen how the new 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan LWB will look like since it was spotted a few times in China but this will be the first time it was spotted outside of China.
The long-wheelbase Volkswagen Tiguan was spotted by a Carscoops reader to reported that the vehicle was spotted in the US. Compared to the standard Volkswagen Tiguan model, the long-wheelbase model will be 4.3inch longer than the standard model.
The longer body will allow Volkswagen to fit in a third-row seat but don’t expect the back row to be comfortable for a full grown adult.
It has been reported that the long-wheelbase Volkswagen Tiguan will be entering production early next year and will go on sale later in the US as a 2017 or 2018 model.
The engine offered will probably match what the short-wheelbase model will be offering. A hybrid engine has also been speculated.
