The Volkswagen Golf R have always been a favourite for performance car lovers but they might find themselves being ignored now that Ford has brought in the Ford Focus RS model.
Fans were hoping that Volkswagen will work on giving the Volkswagen Golf R an update for 2017 so that it can match what the Ford Focus RS is offering right now but it does not look like that is going to happen.
The 2017 model will still be coming in with a 2.0 liter inline 4 engine that will be offering about 292hp and 280lb ft of torque and will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Golf R will also come with features like stability control, dusk-sensing headlights, traction control and more.
The Ford Focus RS will come running on the 2.3 liters inline 4 engine that will be offering about 350hp and 350lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and will be equipped with features like DRL, cornering lights, fog lights and more.
