2017 Ford F-150 Raptor: 450hp Won’t Compensate For Missing V8

We have not heard from Ford yet but it is believed that the upcoming 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor will be coming in with an engine that will be able to offer about 450hp.

There are rumors saying that the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor will be coming with a 3.5liter EcoBoost engine that will be offering about 450hp and 510lb ft of torque. As amazing as that sounds, this is still not a V8 engine and many people believe that the fans will not be happy with it because of that.

It is not because they are afraid that the vehicle will be less powerful without the V8 engine but they are afraid that the Ford F-150 Raptor will not sound as good with the new EcoBoost engine.

We would take the improve fuel economy over the sound of the engine any day but that is just us. Will you be missing the V8 if Ford does choose to go for the EcoBoost engine?
