While there seems to be a lot of interest in the MazdaSpeed 3 and 6 model, sales for the Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 has been going down indicated that people are slowly losing interest in both those model.
The arrival of the performance model might help bring more attention to the Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 but whether it will be significant enough to bring the numbers back up is a whole other story.
It is believed that if Mazda does decide to work on the performance version of the Mazda 3 and Mazda 6, it could be fitted with a 2.5-liter turbo four engine that the Mazda CX-9 is running on right now.
