The infotainment system is not the main reason why people would choose to go for a certain model and not the other but it definitely has an impact on that decision. We saw how people started to avoid Ford when they started offering the complicated MyFord Touch infotainment system and now it looks like Mazda is about to walk down that some path.
Although there is nothing wrong with Mazda’s infotainment system right now, them insisting on not offering their customers the new Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in the new facelifted 2017 Mazda 6 model is not going to sit well with their buyers.
While most automakers are working towards offering the Android Auto and Apple Carplay in their newer models, Mazda does not seem to be interesting in offering any of them.
The 2017 Mazda 6 will be given a slight facelift that will include a new grille and headlights in the front. The rest of the vehicle should remain the same for 2017.
