The 2017 Mazda 6 would have been a lot more exciting if it was to come with the new Mazda CX-9 engine and while Mazda has not revealed anything yet, it seems unlikely that the Mazda 6 will come powered by the new engine.
The Mazda CX-9 was introduced with a new engine under the hood. Mazda also added that they have designed the engine so that it is compact enough to fit into some of their other Mazda model including the Mazda 6.
This has led to many Mazda fans thinking that the upcoming 2017 Mazda 6 will be coming in with the new engine but it looks like that will not be happening. While it might be the right fit, Mazda does not seem to have enough time to actually integrate the new engine into the Mazda 6. While we are certain that we will be seeing for of the new engine, the upcoming 2017 Mazda 6 will most likely not be one of them.
The new engine is a 2.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be delivering about 227hp ad 310b ft of torque.
