We were all looking forward to seeing what Mazda will be offering on the 3017 Mazda 6 but the excitement has been dampened now that we know it will still be coming with the same engine.
One of the problem people seems to be having with the Mazda 6 is its lack of power. While the engine is not weak, it is also not impressive and the fans were hoping that Mazda would work on that when they release the 2017 model.
We know that Mazda has a new engine in the works. The new engine was revealed when Mazda announced the Mazda CX-9 not too long ago. According to Mazda, the new engine was designed so that it will be able to fit into any Mazda model.
Although it might fit into the Mazda 6, we don’t think the 2017 model will be getting the engine. Fitting in a new engine means that they will have to do more testing and changes and it does not feel like Mazda has the time.
The new engine is a 2.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be delivering about 227hp and 310lb ft of torque.
