Even though the Jeep Wrangler has always been popular it was never the best-selling Jeep model in the market. That is because Jeep was holding it back.
Jeep just couldn’t keep up with the demand for the Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep Wrangler plant in Toledo pushes out about 250.000 thousand unit of the Jeep Wrangler but that was not enough at all. Customers are often forced to wait for the Jeep Wrangler.
Well, FCA has now announced that they will be investing $1.05billion to upgrade the Toledo plant. After the upgrade, the plant will have a capacity of 450,000 although it will only be pushing out 350,000 of the Jeep Wrangler. The rest of the plant will be working on the Jeep Wrangler base pickup truck.
With the upgrade, the Jeep Wrangler might easily take over the rest of its sibling to become the best-selling Jeep model in the market.
