2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat Not Its Name

We know that Jeep will be releasing a Hellcat engine powered Jeep Grand Cherokee but it will not be coming in with a Hellcat badge now.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat model will be powered by a 6.2liter supercharged V8 engine. We do not know the numbers yet but the same engine delivered about 707hp when it was fitted under the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. It is estimated that the Jeep Grand Cherokee will only need 3.5seconds to go from 0-60mpg.

It is believed that instead of being called the Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat, the Hellcat engine powered Jeep Grand Cherokee will be coming in with a Trackhawk badge instead.

There were also talks about Jeep looking to use the Hellcat engine to power up some other Jeep model. We saw the Jeep Wrangler Hellcat concept at the Easter Safari Event this year. Will it make it into production in the future as well?
