Honda has done a great job with the Honda CR-V and because of that, the CR-V managed to close the gap between them and their biggest rival, the Toyota RAV4 but overall, the RAV4 still has a slight advantage over them and Honda only has themselves to blame.
While Toyota has been rushing to offer the hybrid option on the Toyota RAV4, Honda has been taking their own sweet time with the hybrid powertrain. There was talk that Honda might offer a hybrid powertrain option on the Honda CR-V soon but that will most likely happen when the 2018 model arrives.
It seems like some consumers also feel that the Honda CR-V does not come with as many features compared to the Toyota RAV4. Features like a 360 view camera seem to be missing from the Honda CR-V.
It will be interesting to see how the Honda CR-V will perform next year when they release the 2018 model with its new design and possibly new engine options.
