The Honda Civic might have gotten a lot of attention when it was first announced but all eyes are on their production plant mate right now.
Both the Honda Civic and the Honda CR-V will be building a Honda;s Greensburg, Indiana plant. After all that hype, the first Honda CR-Vs are finally rolling out from the plant.
Honda invested about $52million in upgrading the plant so that they can keep up with the demands of their Honda CR-V. The upgrade has created 100 new jobs for the plant in Indiana.
The new Honda CR-V base model will be coming in with a 2.4 liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that will be delivering about 184hp. The base model will retail for $24,925. Those looking for a little more can go for the 1.5-liter turbo engine instead.
The Indiana plant is not the only plant that is working on the CR-V right now. Their East Liberty, Ohio plant and the Alliston plant in Ontario will also be churning out the Honda CR-V.
