When Ford started talking about expanding their RS lineup last year, everybody assumes that the Ford Fiesta was going to be one of the models that will be getting the RS badge.
With the kind of response they had when they release the Ford Fiesta ST, you would think that giving it an RS model would be the right move but that is not what Ford had in mind. They announce that the Ford Fiesta will not be getting an RS badge but it will still be getting a more powerful model.
Ford later unveil the Ford Fiesta ST 200 model will come in to sit on top of the Ford Fiesta ST. The Ford Fiesta ST will be offering about 197hp. With the over boost function, the ST200 will be able to deliver about 212hp and 236lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and it will be able to go from 0-62mph in 6.7seconds with a top speed of 143mph.
To make sure it does not get mixed up with the ST model, Ford will also be giving it a few exterior upgrades including a new Storm Grey exterior color as well as a set of 17inch alloy wheels.
