To improve the fuel economy and performance of the Ford F-150 Raptor, Ford announces that the 2017 model will be coming with a turbo engine instead of the standard naturally aspirated engine. If you check out how the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor sounds right now, you will notice how muffled it sounds.
While we are said to see the Raptor losing its voice, we think we got more out of the upgrade. With the new turbo engine, the Ford F-150 Raptor will now deliver 450hp and 510lb ft of torque. 49hp and 76lb ft more than the previous model.
It will also return about 15mpg in the city ad 18mpg on the highway now, 4mpg and 2mpg more than the previous model. It looks like going turbo wasn’t such a bad idea after all.
