The Nissan Leaf used to be Chevrolet Volt’s biggest rival but that does not seem to be the case now the Nissan Leaf slips further and further away from the Chevrolet Volt. Consumers have been waiting for Nissan to upgrade their Leaf but that never did happen, instead, we were offered the new Chevrolet Volt and we couldn’t be happier.
The 2016 Chevrolet Volt came in with a brand new exterior design and people just couldn’t get enough of it. According to reports, Chevrolet managed to sell an impressive 2406 units of the updated Chevrolet Volt in the month of July.
With nobody to stop, things will only be getting better and better for Chevrolet and their Volt. The Chevrolet Volt currently comes with an 18.4kWh battery pack that will be able to offer 53miles of electric drive. With the standard engine, it is estimated that the Volt will be able to travel for 420miles.
Until a real competitor comes in and challenges it, we don’t think the Volt will be slowing down anytime soon.
