The Ford Focus RS is taking over the performance market and it looks like even the Volkswagen Golf R won’t be able to do anything about it.
The current Volkswagen Golf R will be coming in with a 2.0 liter inline 4 engine that will be offering about 292hp and 280lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and will be returning about 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway. Features that will be included as standard features are the dusk sensing headlights, traction control as well as stability control.
Their rival, the Ford Focus RS will be coming in with a 2.3 liter inline 4 engine that will be offering about 350hp and 350lb ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Safety features that will be included as standard features are the fog lights, DRL, cornering lights and more.
