With the Toyota Prius, it is estimated that you will be offered about 54mpg in the city and 50mpg on the highway. The Prius Eco model will return about 58mpg in the city and 53mpg on the highway. The Prius will be powered by a 4 cylinder hybrid engine.
The Chevrolet Volt, on the other hand, will be able to offer 53miles of electric range and about 106mpg combine. However, that is if you have a full battery pack and fuel tank, the basic Volt engine will be able to return about 42mpg on average.
