To stay that the Subaru WRX STi progress is slow will be an understatement. The vehicle came in many years ago with an impressive 300hp engine. Their competitors were nowhere near and the Subaru WRX STi became an instead hit.
Fast forward to 2016 and you have a Subaru WRX STi that is delivering about 305hp. While 305hp is not bad compared to what the market has right now, it is not far from what they were offering in the beginning. This slow progress rate has allowed rivals like the Ford Focus RS to catch up to them.
The new Ford Focus RS will be coming with a 2.3-liter engine that will be offering about 350hp and 350lb ft of torque.
We know that Subaru is looking to give the WRX STi and upgrade but what kind of performance can we expect from it. The fans are hoping that the upgraded model will come with a 2.0-liter engine that will be delivering about 323hp. Let’s hope Subaru heard them.
