Well, we know that the Sony Xperia Z6 was never going to happen but it looks like our prediction that Sony might have quietly killed off the Z Series might be a little off.
Sony has just announced their new flagship for 2016 called the Sony Xperia XZ. While it is clear that the new flagship belongs to the new Xperia X Series, the fact that Sony decided to also include Z in the name shows that they have not forgotten about the Sony Xperia XZ. Think of the new Sony Xperia XZ as the best of both worlds.
Like all the previous Xperia Z smartphones, this too will come with an impressive camera unit. According to Sony, the Sony Xperia XZ will be fitted with a 23MP camera in the back.
The device will come with a 5.2inch display screen with 1080 x 1920 resolution and will be running on the Snapdragon 820 with 3GB RAM and 32/64GB internal storage.
