It is estimated that the electric engine will be able to offer about 84miles of range which is equivalent to 126mpg in the city and 101mpg on the highway. The base model will come with features like tire pressure monitor, a backup camera, stability control and more.
The Ford Focus Electric will also be running on an electric engine that will be mated to a single speed auto transmission. The engine will be delivering about 143hp and 184lb ft of torque and will return an equivalent of 110mpg in the city and 99mpg on the highway. The base model will come with features like backup camera, parking aid, traction control and more.
The Nissan Leaf will retail for $29,010 while the Ford Focus Electric will retail for $29,170.
