Looking at what the Chevrolet Camaro has to offer right now, you would think that the fight is going to be tight but that is not what’s happening right now. The Ford Mustang is clearly leading the charge. Even with what the top of the range Chevrolet Camaro has to offer, it is not going to be enough.
The top of the range Chevrolet Camaro SS will be coming in with an LT1 V8 engine that will be delivering about 455hp. Powering the Ford Mustang is a 5.2 liter V8 engine that will be fitted with a six-speed transmission and will be delivering about 526hp and 429lb ft of torque.
It is clear that the Mustang has the advantage here. Some might argue that the Camaro will be able to even things out with its smaller and lighter body but even if they can match the Mustang in terms of speed and performance, the people still seems to prefer to design of the Ford Mustang over the Chevrolet Camaro.
