The fight between the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro is fiercer than ever now thanks to the arrival of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. How will the top of the range model fare against each other?
Besides getting an exterior upgrade, Chevrolet also made some changes to the powertrain of the Chevrolet Camaro SS. The vehicle now comes with an LT1 V8 engine that will be delivering about 455hp.
The Ford Shelby GT, on the other hand, will be powered by a 5.2 liter V8 engine that will come mated to a six-speed transmission and will be pushing out about 526hp and 429lb ft of torque.
While it might look like the Ford Mustang has all the advantages here, the fact is that things might be more even than it seems since the Chevrolet Camaro SS is a lot lighter than the Ford Shelby GT. We will only know for sure when somebody is brave enough to put this two on the track together.
