Have you ever bought a car only to have it be an older, last-gen model even though the MY suggest that it should be the new model? Well, that happen to one Chevrolet Malibu owner.
Even though the model he got was the 2016 model, he ended up with the last gen model. After purchasing the car, he realizes that his 2016 model and the 2016 models out there does not look the same at all. All the updates that were on the 2016 were not on his 2016. So what was the problem here?
Well, it turns out that his 2016 model was the older model after all Chevrolet still build the old Malibu for 2016 for the rental market so it is possible that the owner was sold a rental-spec 2016 Chevrolet Malibu.
The owner seems to like the older model so it is not a huge problem for him but it is definitely not a mistake we will like to make. You can read the whole story on Reddit here.
