Issues with some of the BMW M model has lead to BMW issuing a stop-delivery order. Besides the BMW M2, M3 and M4, the BMW M5, 5 Series as well as the 6 series will also be affected by the stop-delivery order.
According to the report, a total of 202 units of BMW models will be affected by the stop-delivery option. Those affected by be those build from the 12th of May until the 4th of July 2016.
BMW never really did say what the issue was but it was announced that the affected models will be getting a new rear differential. No explanation as to why the rear differential will have to be replace was given.
As for owners that have already receive their BMW M2, M3, M4, M5, 5 Series and 6 Series, they might want to contact BMW to see if they are affected by the mysterious problem or not.
