Aston Martin will be issuing a recall to recall back a few Aston Martin models after it was reported that an issue with te locking feature might trap an occupant inside the vehicle.
According to the report, the interior door unlocking component in some Aston Martin models might stop working when the car is locked from the outside which means those on the inside might get trap with no way to escape until the person unlocks it from the outside once more.
A total of 6076 Aston Martin will be affected by the recall. Affected models will include the 2010 -2015 Aston Martin DB9, 2010 -2016 Aston Martin V8 Vantage, 2011-2016 Aston Martin V12 Vantage, 2010 – 2012 DBS, 2010-2016 Rapide 2012 Virage, 2014-2016 Vanquish, as well as the 2012 -2013 V12 Zagato.
Affected models will be notified by Aston Martin this August. Aston Martin will fix the issue by reprogramming the mechanism software so that the double locking feature can be disabled.
