Come next year, Subaru will be releasing a wide array of vehicles and among them are the new XV Crosstrek, Impreza and also, the WRX. Despite their differences in segment, the vehicles will be a lot similar to one another as Subaru is building them from a single platform to save cost and development time.
Furthermore, the engine technology will share some similarities on its own. The motors will all come with common features like direct injection, lean-burn technology and cylinder deactivation.
Of course, most of the changes will be with the Subaru XV and Impreza. The WRX had just been refreshed with a new model and we don’t expect the upgrades to be big for the upcoming model. The XV Crosstrek, on the other hand, will be identical to the Impreza. After all, Subaru has already confirmed that it is basically the crossover version of the latter.
