For the last few international motor shows, Nissan has unveiled its Sports Sedan Concept which received some positive reaction from the public. Now, the Japanese carmaker has broken their silence, to reveal the concept as the next Nissan Maxima.
While the Sports Sedan Concept might look exciting and futuristic, Nissan claims that the final product will be toned down a little. The company assured the fans that they will stick as close as possible to the concept design when developing the Maxima.
When viewing the concept, one can easily spot the hallmark V-shaped chrome bar over the grille from Nissan. The headlamps are boomerang in shape and the vehicle rests on 21inch wheels with V-shaped spokes that will make the overall look very aggressive yet futuristic.
Inside the cabin, it felt as if we were in an alien spacecraft. The interior’s lighting simply blended well with the blue display screen in the central console. Furthermore, the doors, dashboard and seats are all wrapped in leather.
All in all, the Nissan Maxima looks as if it is ready to step into production. The vehicle is already equipped with a 3.5 liter V6 engine that is mated to a CVT transmission. This will offer a power output of 300hp. The Maxima is tipped for a release next year and we can’t wait to see what the final product has got to offer.
