The SUV looks spectacular and shiny but Ford didn’t stop there. The company went on to reveal that the Everest is already in production and will be distributed in 2015 for ASEAN markets. Ford also called the 2015 Everest as true off-roader which is enchanting to fans of 4×4.
Representing Ford was Mark Fields which thanked the workers in Australia for developing the ultimate off-road machine. Mark Fields further added that the Everest has so much capabilities and strength with it to handle harsh environments.
Everything about the Everest seems up-to date with coil springs, 8” touchscreen multimedia system and many more. Under the hood, the Everest for India will run on a 2.5-litre TCDi engine producing 141bhp and 330Nm of torque and a 3.0-litre unit producing 154bhp and 380Nm of torque.
As for the 2.5-litre unit, it will come only with a six-speed manual gearbox, the 3.0-litre unit will be mated to a new six-speed automatic.
