2015 Ford Edge: Incorporating New Technologies

Ford has been enjoying tremendous success with most of its vehicle and among them is the Edge. The SUV came out with some style and innovative specification. This simply explains why Ford is currently producing a sequel for the Edge.

The next-gen SUV will surely be an improvement from its predecessor and it will come with more mechanical instruments than before. The list includes adaptive cruise control, adaptive steering system, collision warning with brake support, active park assist, glove box-mounted airbag system. Hands free liftgate, 180 degree front camera with washer and inflatable rear safety belts.

Furthermore, Ford will be equipping the Edge with redesigned suspensions, which is more than capable of taking on the tough terrains while also absorbing the road noise at the same time.

Also, the Edge will come with an adaptive electric steering which is wired to the self-parking function. Such a feature will not only enhance the handling but also make the Edge the world’s first SUV that is capable of parking by itself.

Ford will be offering the Edge in 4 trims. They are SE, SEL, Sport and Titanium. Each trim will have their own designated engine that varies from the 2.0liter Ecoboost four cylinder engine to a 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6 or a 3.5 liter V6 engine. The similarity is with the 6-speed automatic transmission that is paired to the engine.

While the release date of the upcoming Edge is still uninformed, we believe that the car will arrive next year in the US, before being shipped for the global market.
