What is there not to like about the latest BMW X5? The luxury SUV is fast, powerful, luxurious and is equipped with plenty of new technologies. Among them is the auto engine off feature which is developed to aid in saving fuel.
Then again, not many actually like it and most of them find it annoying. The good news is that drivers can switch off the engine stop-restart feature on the X5. You can do so by pressing a button that is resting beside the ignition.
Unfortunately, this is just a temporary solution and it won’t disable the feature permanently. To remove the feature for good, you are advised to bring the X5 to the nearest dealer and make the specific request. The dealer will then disable the system for you at no charge at all.
