2015 Acura TLX Review: Meh! Nothing Special

It has been quite a while since we heard from Acura and now, it is revealed that the Japanese carmaker is lining up the all-new TLX for a release early next year. The upcoming luxury car will be looking to replace the TL and the TSX as it becomes part of the 2015 MY line up.

Acura made it known that the TLX will be offered with two engine options. One is the 206hp 2.4 litre 4 cylinder that is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The other is identified to be the 290hp 3.5 litre V6 engine that is paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

On the other hand, some insiders are hinting that there will also be an AWD TLX that runs on the 290bhp 3.5 litre V6 engine along with the 9-speed transmission.

The entry level TLX will be priced at $30,995. Purchasing the latter with the technology package will see the price shooting to $35,025. As for the 3.5L FWD variant, one can own it for a fee of $35,220. Getting it with the technology package will see the price soaring to $39,250 and there is also the Advance package which sells at $42,550. The SH-AWD with the technology package cost $41,450 while the Advance variant cost $44,700.

Of course, consumers will be rewarded with a $500 gift card if they book the vehicle today. The cash voucher can only be spent on accessories.
