Unlike most other motor shows, the annual Tokyo Auto Salon focuses more on the beauty of the vehicle. With this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon kicking off in a couple of weeks from now, Toyota is busy dressing up their future Harrier.
The highly successful SUV from the Japanese carmaker will look to come in two variants. The first concept is identified as the Harrier Sportivo Concept. It is developed by the Toyota Racing Development team and it will be a 2WD vehicle. In terms of looks, the Harrier Sportivo Concept will have lowered sports suspension, a ground effects kit, new front grille, 18” alloy wheels and a sports muffler.
The second variant is spotted to be the Harrier Modellista. This one will be powered by a 149hp (151PS) 2L petrol motor mated to a CVT transmission. It features a protruding front apron, side skirts, rear apron, 19” alloys, tailgate spoiler and a chrome kit, plus the use of LED lamps inside and a lowered suspension.
Of course, both models will probably end up as standalone trims in Japan. With the Tokyo Auto Salon happening very soon, we can’t wait to see the final design of both Harrier concepts.
