There is no denying the fact that the new Range Rover Sport is the best-looking SUV period. The fierce-looking car is so neatly designed that drivers can immediately trust the Sport to get the job done.
The luxurious compact SUV can be owned from just $73,990. The standard version comes with a powerful 3L V6 engine that produces 340hp. Of course, the best is with the Range Rover Sport Autobiography that comes with a $104,990 price tag.
When getting behind the wheel of the Range Rover Sport HSE, the car is as impressive as it gets with its powerful performance and precise handling. While the Sport HSE is supposed to be a solid car, it does face some problem when on extreme weather condition. At negative 27-degrees Celsius, the Sport HSE became less responsive and more frigid. Then again, it is good enough that the SUV can still run at that temperature. Most other cars will simply throw the white towel.
The Range Rover’s 8-speed automatic transmission is also something worth applauding. It simply offered the driver that unrivalled smoothness, even when on an SUV. Despite getting the ability to go off-road, the Sport HSE can still be a pain with its rough suspension.
Then again, it wouldn’t matter much as the Range Rover Sport HSE is as efficient as it gets. For an SUV, the Sport HSE is able to achieve 12.4L/100km. The other best thing about the Range Rover Sport is that it allows buyers to pick from 18 different colours for its outside and combine it with their choice of interior colours.
Lastly is the HMI infotainments system that is glued on the dashboard. Normally, technology will go haywire in the extreme cold. However, at negative 27C, the touchscreen works without an issue. It also works when driver touches it with a winter glove on.
All in all, the Range Rover Sport HSE is truly a mesmerizing experience. Of course, it still has a lot to learn in order for it to challenge the likes of the Porsche Cayenne and the BMW X5.
