2014 Hyundai Genesis: Koreans Escape Speeding Ticket As Americans Watches In Envy

Hyundai has launched the all-new Genesis and the car has been selling like hotcakes ever since. However, it seems that most of the sales happened in the company’s home turf, South Korea and it is because of an added function on the locally made vehicle.

It is an on-board camera that is able to detect speed cameras and if drivers failed to take notice of them it will slow them down. True enough, this is one feature that the world would want on every vehicle. With it, no driver has to worry about a speeding ticket.

On the other hand, the speed trap detector is not ready for a global release. This could be due to the feature still being in development, or maybe the lawyers gave it a thumb down. After all, governments need to create revenue out of speeding tickets.

In detail, the speed trap detector functions together with the GPS. It simply tracks the location of cameras at the side of the road while checking out on the speed of the Genesis. If the car is going above the speed limit, the GPS will throw off an alert. If drivers failed to slow down, the GPS will trigger the automatic brakes, which forces the Genesis to abide the traffic law.

On the other hand, the latest Hyundai Genesis is also completed with features like Adaptive Cruise Control, lane keeping technology and automatic emergency braking.
